Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

All structural areas of Koromfe, a Gur language of Burkina Faso, West Africa, will be explicated (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics/pragmatics, lexicon), especially with regard to their typological properties and (where relevant) in contrast with the better-known European languages.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participants will become acquainted with the major typological characteristics of Koromfe and experience how their expectations (based on their knowledge of Indo-European languages) are confirmed or not.
