Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

"Stories from the Táin" will be read and translated in order to strengthen the already-acquired knowledge of Old Irish.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular class participation (translation) and final exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The goal is to read straightforward Old Irish texts and to be able to analyze grammatical structures found there.

Examination topics

New concepts will be introduced via lecture, while previously prepared translation will be presented orally in class.
