Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

First language acquisition data from German speaking children will be analyzed and interpreted according to different approaches to the L1-acquisition of grammar. The focus will be on the acquisition of plural, verb morphology, word order, copulae, pronouns and clitics, case, negation, complementizers and subordinate phrases.

Assessment and permitted materials

Credits will be based on active participation, a seminar presentation and a seminar paper.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participants will learn to analyze and evaluate first language acquisition data.
