Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Regular attendance, presentation of own project during the course and term paper.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Acquisition of skills in applying basic methods of Applied Linguistics and application of these skills in an empirical project.
Examination topics
Input by instructors; students are required to design a research concept; writing of a research journal.
Reading list
A bibliography will be provided in the course.

In this course, the methods are introduced and discussed. The participants are expected to design a research concept for an empirical Bachelor's thesis, which will be elaborated in the next semester within the BA-Seminar in Applied Linguistics 1.
