Aims, contents and method of the course
In the Scientific Practical Training in Applied Linguistics, the concepts developed in the summer term are employed to an empirical study in Applied Linguistics. Supervision and support for the preparation of a Bachelor thesis is provided.
Assessment and permitted materials
Regular attendance, two short texts in preparation of the BA thesis in BA Seminar I; feedback on the texts of 2 colleagues from the course

Information
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Authoring of two short texts in preparation of the BA thesis in the accompanying BA Seminar 1. Preparation of slides for the final oral presentation in the BA Seminar. All texts and slides need to be uploaded to Moodle within the stipulated period. The texts are thereby checked for text similarities ("plagiarism check") by means of Turnitin.
Examination topics
Presentation and documentation of the respective status of the own work by students in written and oral form, joint discussion of participants' work.
Reading list
Helpful literature will continuously be recommended during the whole semester.
