Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The focus of this bachelor seminar will be the investigation of psycholinguistic research questions. Ideally, students will develop a research question based on the meta-analysis that was completed in the previous term. This will be done in small work groups. The seminar includes the development of a research design on a solid theoretical foundation, setting up an experimental design, collecting data, perform statistical analysis and interpret the results in the context of the research question. The seminar's language will be English, although the language used for writing the thesis can also be German.

Assessment and permitted materials

2 in-class group presentations (1 presentation of research design, 1 presentation of (preliminary) results).
Individual bachelor theses.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participants should have completed the Bachelorseminar I in WS2021/22. The seminar is conceptualized as the experimental continuation of the systematic review/meta-analysis that was conducted in the winter term 2021/22.

Basic familiarity with R is strongly recommended.
