Aims, contents and method of the course

The focus of this course, which is mandatory for master's students and doctoral candidates, is on problem orientation. The course serves to offer students who are writing a thesis (MA thesis, dissertation) the opportunity to present their research project and their qualification thesis in detail in the different phases of development and elaboration. The course is organized as a consultation and discussion forum. We discuss the research question, the concept, the text organization, a concrete text excerpt, the choice of data and methods, writing problems, and many other things.

Assessment and permitted materials

Certification through a presentation on the status of one's work.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Concepts and parts of master's theses and dissertations, their realization and problems arising in the process are to be discussed and solutions will be worked out.
