Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Discussion of (mostly recent) theories about the development of the (Late) PIE three-part gender system, esp. the connection between feminine stems and so-called collectives.

Assessment and permitted materials

1. Regular attendance is mandatory and active disussion = 10% (valid excuses excepted); 2. Written summary of papers to be discussed in class beforehand = 50%;
3. Short oral presentation = 40%.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Basic knowledge of PIE noun morphology; parallel attendance of VO Indo-European Morphology.
