Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The focus of this course, which is mandatory for master and doctoral students, is the problem-oriented discussion of emerging master's and doctoral theses. The course provides an arena, where concepts for theses can be presented and commented on, and where the process of research and the realization of the thesis can be discussed. For occurring problems, solutions can be worked out interactively.

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation of the current state of the own thesis in the course.

PLEASE NOTE: During the home-learning phase in the context of COVID-19 protection the oral presentation will be substituted by media (video, slides, scripts) which are provided by the participants via Moodle. The course discussion takes place in a Moodle chat (at the announced time slots).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Support for the preparation and writing of the master's or doctoral thesis.

Examination topics

Presentation of the respective state of the thesis by students, common discussion of theses and presentations.

Reading list

Reading suggestions will be given individually.
