Aims, contents and method of the course
The verb is a central element of Indo-European grammar and thus deserves particular attention. Since this is designed to be an introductory course, all aspects of the tense-aspect-mood system will be highlighted, from the basic morphological structures (root & ablaut), through questions of stem formation, to the intricate questions of voice, aspect and mood. The final part of the course will deal with questions of a possible prehistory of the verbal system.
