Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course deals with the nominal and verbal morphologies of the Germanic languages and their prehistory. After a brief introduction we will first deal with the nominal system of Germanic and then with the verbal system. Moreover, the oldest Germanic writing system, the Runic script, will be dealt with, and a brief overview of the techniques of ancient Germanic poetry will be given.
