Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Modern Irish text will be analysed. The structure of the language will be made clearer and vocabulary built up. This course is intended for beginners, who are attending Irish 1 parallel to it, where the basics are taught. Others are also welcome. Exam criteria: The ability to reproduce the subject matter worked on during the lessons in written and oral form and also to explain relevant contexts.
Assessment and permitted materials
Continuous assessment through set tasks and a short written examination are required.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The goal is the introduction to simple structures of the Irish language and building up vocabulary using texts.
Examination topics
Simple texts will be distributed and worked through step by step. Relevant contexts will be explained and the students can discuss difficult points at any given time.
