Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Texts in Irish wil Modern Irish texts will be analysed. The structure of the language will be made clearer and vocabulary built up. This course is intended for beginners, who are attending Irish 1 parallel to it, where the basics are taught. Others are also welcome.
Exam criteria: The ability to reproduce the subject matter worked on during the lessons in written and oral form and also to explain relevant contexts.
l be read and discussed. Teaching will be done mainly through German and Irish (also in English if necessary). More complicated structures will be taught and vocabulary built up. This course is designed for students with previous knowledge of Irish.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous assessment and a short written and oral examination are required

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The goal is to build on existing knowledge, to introduce some of the more challenging structures of the Irish language and to develop vocabulary in that process.

Examination topics

A computer and projector will be needed in every lecture.
