Aims, contents and method of the course

Fundamental information on the La Tène Culture, its artefacts (material culture), and its chronology.

Assessment and permitted materials

Class participation, written exercises, report with paper, and final exam, as well as possible small-group work.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The goal of this course is to enable students to recognize and assess artefacts of the La Tène Culture, and to give students an understanding of the chronology and spread of the La Tène Culture.

Examination topics

Lecture with PowerPoint, excursion, and small-group exercises.
