Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Overview on Tocharian with focus on the philological attestation and grammatical system (esp. historical phonology and morphology). The detailed plan for the term can be found on the Moodle platform. Students will become familiar with the state-of-the-art research on Tocharian and will be able to work with Tocharian language material for further linguistic research questions.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam (text, no multiple-choice questions).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Basic knowledge of historical linguistics is required.
