Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to the most important Old Celtic languages: Lepontic, Celtiberian, Gaulish. Survey of their external and internal history and of their transmission. Reading of selected texts.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam at the end of the semester.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowledge of the major facts about Old Celtic languages, familiarity in working with Old Celtic texts.

Examination topics

Ex-cathedra teaching with detailed handouts.
