Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Students are expected to do the readings before coming to class, come to class, participate actively by asking and answering questions, make a presentation with a handout, and write either an overview paper giving arguments for preferring a given analysis to alternatives from the literature, or a squib analyzing something having to do with the topic of the seminar.

Any and all the topics discussed in the course of the seminar.

Redundancy (R): the output of an operation is insensitive to some feature specified in the input.
Deficiency (D): an operation that presupposes a certain feature applies to a grammatical entity that lacks it.
Empirically, we will focus on two domains, namely resumption, and (grammatical) Voice, both of which amply illustrate both R & D.--
