Aims, contents and method of the course

Modern Irish basics, syntax/morphology; idiom; vocabulary; reading/listening comprehension; writing simple texts, simple conversation.
Lecture using a variety of resources, practice; partcipation welcome! Online sessions, if necessary, will be held in smaller groups for ease of communication.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students have acquired the most important basics of Irish grammar and a stock of vocabulary, which enables them to participate in everyday, simple and short conversations; they are able, with the help of appropriate resources (dictionary, grammar), to interpret Irish texts
