Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Students will acquire the most important basics of the Welsh language and grammar, which enables them to participate in everyday, simple and short conversations. No previous knowledge is necessary for this course. A knowledge/interest in languages and linguistics is helpful.
Although a lecture, participation, exchange of knowledge etc. is very welcome on this course.
Materials from various books and my own materials will be used and will form the basis for the oral examinations.
Materials will be made available through Moodle

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Assessment : End of course exam
Onsite participation is desirable to support with pronunciation and the oral exam.
During the oral exams the students will be graded with 1 : outstanding, 2 : good, 3 : satisfactory, 4 : sufficient.

Examination topics

The first oral exam will be based on the vocabulary and basic grammar taught in the first half of the term.
While the second exam will be based on the final part of the course.
