Aims, contents and method of the course

Liebe als Medium, Photoshop als digitale Matrix, 9/11 als Rückkehr des Ereignisses:
Das Proseminar konzentriert sich auf die zentralen Begriffe, Positionen und Diskurse zeitgenössischer Medientheorien. Die einzelnen Ansätze werden durch Basistexte und ergänzende Sekundärliteratur vorgestellt, in ihrem interdisziplinären Kontext diskutiert und an Hand aktueller medialer Phänomene geöffnet.

Textpräsentation, Diskussion, Seminararbeit.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ziel der Lehrveranstaltung ist es, einen ersten Zugang zu dem heterogenen Feld der Medientheorie zu gewinnen und eine Sensibilität für seine Systematiken, Fragestellungen und Potentiale zu entwickeln.
