Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Die Europäische Union ist ein später Akteur im Feld europäischer Kulturpolitik. Allerdings ist die EUseit dem Vertrag von Maastricht (1992) zum inzwischen wichtigsten Akteur sowohl im Blick auf ihre Förderungsmaßnahmen, deren Wirksamkeit (allem voran den "Kulturhauptstädten") und der Konzeption, die in der "Europäischen Kultur-Agenda im Zeichen der Globalisierung" (2007) festgelegt ist.
In Vorlesung und Übung stehen der EU vorausgehende, grunglegende Dokumente des Europarats zur Diskusssion, ebenso ausgewählte der UNESCO. Schwerpunkt der Veranstaltung sind allerdings die EU-Förderprogramme und die Europäischen Kulturhauptstädte seit 25 Jahren.
