Aims, contents and method of the course
In dieser Lehrveranstaltung sollen die Grundlagen und Methoden der Filmanalyse vermittelt und erarbeitet und ein Verständnis für filmische Verfahrensweisen entwickelt werden. Dazu gehört notwendigerweise die Kontextualisierung von Filmen im jeweiligen historischen Zusammenhang.Schwerpunktmäßig werden Films Noirs sowie Melodramen und Woman's Films der klassischen Hollywoodära herangezogen.

Anwesenheit (unbedingt beim ersten Termin, maximal drei Absenzen möglich), Präsentation/Essay, Abschlussarbeit oder Bachelor-Arbeit
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Anwesenheit (unbedingt beim ersten Termin, maximal drei Absenzen möglich), Präsentation/Essay (50 %) und Abschlussarbeit (50 %) ODER Präsentation/Essay (40 %) und Bachelor-Arbeit (60 %). Zur Erlangung einer positiven Note ist die positive Beurteilung beider Teilleistungen nötig.
