Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
There are 4 different exam parts in 3 different exam sections (written, oral, group work):Written:
1 class paper (8-10 pgs., ca. 10.000 characters) => 25%
3 reading cards (with date options) 2000 characters each => 25%Oral:
Smaller oral presentations (moderate a debate, Roulette Presentations, text duels, short summary results of group tasks) => 25%Work within the group:
attendance, participation in debate and analysis, participation in group tasks, participation in peer feddback => 25%In agreement with the class group, these exam sections are still subject to change (e.g. if the group turns out to be very small/very big, or depending on the knowledge/experience level of the group).If you have a condition that affects these exams (dyslexia, phobias), please contact the teacher to discuss the possibility of an alternative exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
All four exam sections need to be passed to obtain a positive mark (=a minimum of a 4) to pass the class.
You will be required to read both English and German texts and debate them.
Attendance is mandatary, you may not miss more than 3 classes (with giving prior notice).
