Aims, contents and method of the course
There is not really an English translation for the term "Bildtheorie", one could say image theory. The class introduces a specific field, namely French image theory. The authors include: Jean-Luc Nancy, Jacques Rancière, Jacques Derrida, Henri Bergson, George Didi-Huberman, Jacques Lacan.
Assessment and permitted materials
Summaries of the texts of 1-2 pages.
Presentation of one theorist.
10 pages long paper (it is possible to write an English paper)
