Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The theatre buildings, plays, dramaturgy, styles, scenography, theoretical concepts and digital performances which have been presented in the previous lecture will be discussed. Further productions and performances of the plays will be shown and compared to movie versions and other mediatizations.

Assessment and permitted materials

MC-test at the end of the semester and at three further dates in the following winter semester

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Additional examples of productions of the most important plays can be discussed in order to demonstrate the different styles of productions changing during the course of theatre history. Examples of performance art and digital performances display the wide horizon of theatre productions using new media.

Historiography, comparison of different productions and versions of plays
