Aims, contents and method of the course

Zwei Studien, in denen Walter Benjamin, Zeitgenosse und Schachpartner Brechts, dessen frischerfundenes Modell-Theater scharf aufzufassen versucht: zwei Fassungen, die erste aus dem Jahr 1931, unpubliziert und hermetisch bisweilen; die andere ebenso luzide, doch klarer strukturiert und endlich 1939 im Exil erschienen.
Wir werden die Texte auseinandernehmen und im Zusammenhang mit Benjamins anderen medienpolitischen Arbeiten diskutieren.
