Aims, contents and method of the course
The course aims to enable students to design and conduct their own scientific investigations within media and communication research, to assess existing research, and to discuss methodological issues critically.
Assessment and permitted materials
Lectures will be given in German. Ongoing performance testing, written assessment (Master-thesis presentation). Qualification assignment, approved/ not approved.

Examination topics
This course presents and discusses methodology issues that are central to analytic research in the field of media studies.
