Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This is a course in applied statistics and econometrics. Its main goal is for students to develop the foundations necessary to read and critically assess the empirical evidence, and to implement empirical research independently. The course is taught at an introductory level. The course is taught on site.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students are graded according to a midterm exam (December 2nd, from 15:00 to 16:30), a final exam (January 27th, from 15:00 to 16:30) and a final project (each 1/3 of the final grade). For midterm and final exams, no materials (electronic devices, notes, books, etc.) are allowed.

Examination topics
Topics: probability, random variables, statistical inference, linear regression model, instrumental variables, panel data methods, limited dependent variable models, causal inference
