Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
What is the relationship between what you should do and what you want to do? Morality tells you that you should do the right thing: you should tell the truth, respect others' rights, try to promote their happiness. Rationality tells you that you should do the rational thing: your beliefs should be based on good evidence, your actions should promote your goals. Where do your desires and emotions come into all this? We read Jay Wallace's book Normativity and the Will in order to answer this question.
