Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Goals:
- Students get to know ethical problems of the ecological multiple crisis. You will learn to analyze and ethically evaluate them.

Content:
- What is the Anthropocene?
- Dealing with ethical problems in the Anthropocene (e.g. food consumption, animal welfare, agricultural production, other modes of consumption and production, greenwashing, loss of biodiversity, climate crisis, "green flying", ecological footprint)
- Analysis / application of ethical principles (such as sustainability, social justice, responsibility)
- Dealing with the SDGs/Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030
- Dealing with approaches of socio-ecological transformation
