Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The psychoanalyst Simmel named Anti-Semitism a "social disease", no doubt and the vulgar violence of this disease is evident. An astonishing phenomenon is the stability of this affect, which might be a product of constellations in the socialpsychological sphere. But also Anti-Semitism has "coalitions" with theology, social-philosophy, science and art. The Jewish "enemy" had qualities which allowed to suspend his human rights. The aims of AS changed permanently: ideas of release, an improvement of "race", of "Volksgemeinschaft", modernism but also return to a premodern, fair society.
