Aims, contents and method of the course

Arendt ist wohl den Meisten auf den ersten Blick als politische Denkerin und Philosophin vertraut. Doch nicht nur in ihrem Hauptwerk Vita activa oder Vom tätigen Leben, sondern ebenso in mehreren Artikeln artikuliert sie mit scharfer Zunge ihre Kritik am technologischen Fortschritt und der Entwicklung von Kultur und Gesellschaft in der Moderne. In diesem Seminar wollen wir uns Arendt als Denkerin innerhalb der Kultur- und Technikphilosophie nähern und uns mit ihrer spezifischen Sicht auf die Herausforderungen und Fragestellungen der Gegenwart beschäftigen.

Assessment and permitted materials

Die Student*innen haben die Wahl zwischen einer Seminararbeit und einem benoteten Referat.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Die Erfüllung einer semesterbegleitenden unbenoteten Aufgabe ist die Bedingung dafür, zur Prüfung antreten zu können.
