Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this Seminar, we will read "The Secret of the Veda" by Sri Aurobindo Ghose, in which he rereads the , the oldest text of the Veda, the Ridveda, resisting colonialistic or brahmanic-orthodox interpretations. We will touch on the questions currently politically controversial in India. For example, the question "Who is a Hindu?". A question, which is aswered in a spiritual manner by Aurobindo, while Vinayak Demodar Savarkar in his legendary text "Hindutva (Who is a Hindu?)" answers it in a national-territorial way, therefore politizing it.
