Aims, contents and method of the course
The late reputation of Herbert Marcuse as one oft he leading figures auf the Counterculture of last centuries sixties has a long prehistory, which will be reconstructed and commented in our seminar. The following stages will be the central topic: the short episode oft he attempt to work with a Heidegger-oriented approach; the relation tot he Frankfurt School; the two countercultural books The One-Dimensional Man and Eros and Civilization and the textes which intervened in the 68-movement
