Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar will be a close reading of John Broome’s book -Rationality through Reasoning- (Wiley Blackwell 2013).
Broome’s work is crucial for understanding current accounts of of practical rationality and practical reasoning and for exploring the differences between theoretical reasoning and practical reasonin

Assessment and permitted materials

All students are expected to have a copy of Broome’s book (paperback edition is available) at the beginning of the seminar. Copies of Broome's book "Rationality through Reasoning" will be available at the Facultas-bookstore at the NIG by the beginning of the term

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Course requirements (grading): Presence in each seminar session and reading of text assignments is mandatory. Active participation (30 %); Seminar paper (70%): 6.500 words; due January 31, 2016
