Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The teaching language is English. The seminar is intended for the students of the EST Master program. Other students are welcome as well, but EST students are given a priority in enrolment. The focus of the seminar is on philosophy, sociology, and history of science and technology.

Each student presents an approximately 15-page seminar paper on the concept of their Master thesis (in English). The papers have to include the main thesis/problem/argument contextualized in the relevant philosophical/sociological/historical discussion, the time table, and a comprehensive list of literature to be used in the Master thesis.

The students are also expected to moderate another seminar paper, and write a short comment on each paper, to be submitted in the Moodle ahead of the class.
