Aims, contents and method of the course

The nature of rationality has been one of the basic philosophical research topics throughout the history of philosophy. In this course, we focus on recent contributions on the debate. Questions discussed in this context include the relation between theoretical and practical rationality, the Hume-Kant-controversy, ethics and rationality, rationality and emotion, rationality and irrationality, and paradoxes of rationality.
