Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Main goal of the lecture is to reflect the philosophical thinking Oliver Leamans in his work „Introduction to the Islamic aesthetics“ and to construct new models of the interpretation on this topic. The Islamic aesthetics were treated often in scientific "foreign areas" with hardly recognizable continuously philosophical treatment (concerning history of art). Moreover, the aim of the lecture is to discuss the relevant problems of Islamic aesthetics (with a focus on the roots of the approaches of aesthetics in Islam generally). Everyday aesthetics and the so-called „philosophy of the art in Islam“ is also based on the example Leamans in this discussion with the plan to crystallize the real philosophy of the picture ban (philosophy of the polytheism ban). Facing the growing public interest concerning the questions of the ethics and aesthetics in Islam the lecture aim is to taste the borders of the reasonable and form the possibilities of a contemporary art approach. The basic form of the Islamic aesthetics is not to find it necessarily in the emphasizing of the beauty but in the intention of imagination. New but also Long time present aesthetics in the world of the philosophy and the philosophy of the art is to be presented here.
