Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture is intended for first-year and advanced students of philosophy and ethics who want to deal with their role as teachers in the subject of philosophy. It is thus only partly a 'classical' introduction - rather, the focus is on different philosophical reflections that take a look at the connection between teaching, ethos and learning, in addition to the usual subject didactic topics.
In addition, the VL is suitable as a co-teaching model to get to know different teachers and their styles from the field of subject didactics
The current lecture plan and the bibliography can be found on moodle; the texts that will be discussed in the VL are also available on moodle and will be prepared or followed up in the tutorial (Fridays: 15.00-16.30 Lecture hall 2 main building, first floor staircase 5 courtyard 3; tutors: Meret Siemen, Antonia Röper and Philip Stöger).
The lecture is intended to be a purely face-to-face event. The reason: Free thinking and speaking in a protected setting that does not fray into unseen rooms is important to us. However, for people who cannot be present in person due to health reasons, streaming links will be provided upon presentation of a medical certificate. Please address the certificate and the request for the link exclusively to Meret Siemen: meret.siemen@univie.ac.at
