This course focuses on recent debates over epistemic relativism within analytic philosophy. Central foci will be- Paul Boghossian's book FEAR OF KNOWLEDGE (2006) and the debates it has stimulated;- the writings of the (later) Wittgenstein;- key passages in Richard Rorty;- recent discussions by Howard Sankey and Markus Seidel; and- texts in the sociology of (scientific) knowledge by Barnes and Bloor.

The course meets Mondays 9.45am to 1pm. In the first weeks all four hours will be dedicated to seminar discussions. From the second third of the course, one of the four hours will be dedicated to individual supervision.
