Aims, contents and method of the course

Deepening and developing the work on projected and running theses (Master or Dissertation) in the Masterprograms philosophy and history, the Masterprogram HPS, esp. dissertations in history and philosophy of science incl. historical science studies.
Topics, contents, and methods of contemporary research in these fields in HPS incl. sociology of science.
Presentation and discussion of related theses and projects in this interdisciplinary field (study programs philosophy and history)

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation and defense of own thesis (Master or Dissertation) with Handout and/or PowerPoint. Simulation of a defensio of the thesis and discussion of all additional presentations.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Presentation with related materials (handout, ppt) and participation in the discussion during all 3 sessions en bloc.

Examination topics

Presentations and additional related publications in the field of history and philosophy of science (HPS), the history of philosophy of science (HOPOS), and science studies based on a provided reading list
