Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

By satisfying scopic drives the film makes up a perfect medium to introduce into psychoanalytic concepts, theorems and discussions. On the one hand, concerning the content, film and psychoanalysis are intertwined via optic models of the psychic apparatus, as Jacques Lacan used them. On the other hand, the film provides the necessary material of conception. Without such material psychoanalytic concepts would remain blind. Over and above the recent orientation to single case studies within psychoanalytic investigation can be achieved well by cinematic means in non-clinical contexts.
