Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This research seminar will provide an introduction and discussion of current literature concerning War Ethics.

Assessment and permitted materials

Every participant is expected to (1) attend regularly and participate actively (2) hold a presentation of one of the seminar's texts (3) develop a presentation for the research colloquium and (4) write a term paper.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

All tasks (regular attendance; presentation of a text; presentation at the research colloquium; term paper) must be completed to receive a positive grade.

At least 60% are necessary for a positive grade.
the presentation of a text counts for 20%,
the presentation at the colloquium counts for 20%,
the seminar paper counts for 60%.

If you miss more than one session, it needs to be justified in writing. You must not miss more than 3 sessions.

Examination topics

There is no exam. Students will have to hold a presentation, contribute a presentation to the research colloquium and write a term paper.
