Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This semester we will read texts of Gilles Deleuze in which he interprets philosophy as a creative practice concerned with the construction of new concepts. The aim is to clarify the question of what happens with the classic image of thinking, if the act of philosophizing is interpreted as a performative process?
In particular we will investigate the relation of concept and affect in Deleuze`s works, alluding as well to Spinoza's concept of affection.
Method: close reading of relevant Deleuze-texts, the participants of the seminar will present first to discuss them all together later in the seminar.
