Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims:
The aim of this course is to focus on the preparation of professional, constructive and self-reflective challenges of professional psychology and philosophy teaching in direct examination of actual teaching practice.

Contents and methods:

The key aspect of the course is to gain not only insights into the contents of the current curricula, but as well to design lesson units/parts with special attention on the BMHS curricula for psychology and philosophy. Students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and to build up a professional view on both current didactics and methodology. Students are expected to design, present and reflect on their lesson units and to participate in an on-going exchange.

Assessment and permitted materials

- Practical teaching report
- Engaged participation in class/online meetings, discussions and reflections
Development and reflection of teaching materials in teamwork

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- Implementation, presentation, reflection of teaching simulations (30%)
- Attendance (with a maximum of two absences), participation in class (30%)
- Submission of all documents on time, practical teaching report (40%)
