The aim of the lecture series is to provide students with an overview of the main topics of research and methods in philosophy. The lecture series presents different approaches and research topics in philosophy currently available at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Vienna. Each week of our lecture series consists of a lecture by a different researcher of the Department of Philosophy (professor or Post-Doc). Each lecturer presents her main focus of research as well as her research methods. The lecture series will present the students with a broad spectrum of philosophical approaches and perspectives, from epistemology, philosophy of language and metaphysics to ethics and political philosophy.
