Aims, contents and method of the course
Introduction to linguistics with special emphasis on questions of interest to cognitive science.Linguistics within the cognitive sciences, theoretical models within linguistics, exercises on phonetics/phonology/morphology/syntax/semantics, psycho- and neurolinguistics, embodiment of grammar

Homework for each session, presentation of the answers to problem sets and questions (approx 10 min), participation in the discussion

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Grading scheme:You can receive the maximum of 30 Points.
30, 29, 28, 27 --> "sehr gut" (1)
26, 25, 24, 23 --> "gut" (2)
22, 21, 20, 19 --> "befriedigend" (3)
18, 17, 16 --> "genügend" (4)
15 points or less --> "nicht genügend" (5), i.e. you failed the course.You can receive the points in the folliwng way:
1st session: 5 points participation in the discussion
Session 2-7: homework presentation 3 points + 2 points participation in the discussion
