Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction into the mayor fields and topics of theoretical philosophy: epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of science, philosophy of language - analytical philosophy and philosophy of mind.
The historical frame of this lecture arches from early modern to the 21st century.
Emphasis: epistemology, philosophy of language and philosophy of mind.

Assessment and permitted materials

written examination, writing the exam in English is allowed, 4 Dates (1. at the end of SoSe 2020, 3 Dates in WS2020/21)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Lecture units and philosophical source texts:
60 % Lecture, PPts and Audio files of the lecture
40 % philosophical source texts

Examination topics

Lecture units and questions on the philosophical texts.
Ca. 4 - 5 questions on the Lecture content, 2 - 3 questions on the philosophical texts, to be answered in short easy form (no half sentences or keywords), no multiple choice test.

Materials for exam preparation: audio files, PPt-Folien, Lecture notes, selected texts and chapters from the reading list.
