Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course familiarizes with the question of why understanding and the theory of understanding, hermeneutics, is a prerequisite for pedagogy in theory and practice. Various hermeneutic models are explored and tried out. Their respective capabilities are discussed and tested. In an excursus, textual criticism is introduced. Alternatives to hermeneutics are also discussed and the basics conveyed. Essential traditional approaches to hermeneutics are continuously related to and critically discussed with current discourses, e.g. on the categories of gender, race, identity and belonging.
Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance and continuous participation are prerequisites for the assessment.
In the course of the VÜ, 4 performance checks take place. The first is homework to be done via Moodle (2 points). The second is an MC task that takes around a week to deliver via moodle (10 points). The third consists of two semi-open questions, one of which must be selected and edited (submitted via moodle 18 P). The fourth is the final exam, which will take place on site if possible, but depending on the situation also online as a written exam (20 points).
