Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In recent times, international comparisons such as PISA often lead to public outcries and talk about schooling being in a fundamental crisis. Schools, teachers and the students themselves would not achieve what they are supposed to. All kinds of school reforms are then introduced to provide a better future. However, even a short look into the history of schooling can show that this is not a recent phenomenon, but rather a recurring international discourse.
Students shall develop the ability to analyse different forms of discourses on schooling and its "crisis".
